The Bride Is Back: Rangers Roll With Jonah Bride, Osuna Optioned

The Texas Rangers are shuffling the deck in Arlington, and this time they're bringing in some serious Triple-A thunder. The club selected the contract of infielder Jonah Bride from Round Rock, and he's already in Sunday's starting lineup at third base against the Baltimore Orioles.

Bride, 30, has been absolutely tearing it up for Round Rock this season. In 97 games, the right-handed hitter is slashing .282 with 10 homers and 60 RBIs. That's the kind of production that forces a call-up, no questions asked.

This isn't Bride's first rodeo, either. His last big-league action came with Minnesota back in June 2025, so you know he's hungry to prove he still belongs. Now he's getting a fresh shot with a Rangers club that clearly wants some pop in the infield.

Osuna Heads Down

To make room on the active roster, Texas optioned outfielder Alejandro Osuna back to Round Rock. Osuna struggled to find his groove in 76 games with the Rangers, hitting .255 with just one homer and 24 RBIs. It's a step back, but the talent is there — this could be just the reset he needs.

For now, all eyes are on Bride. He's got the bat, he's got the opportunity, and he's got nothing to lose. Time to show the Rangers they made the right call.
