GRAF GETS PAID! Sharks Lock In Breakout Star for $12.75M

The San Jose Sharks just made a loud statement about their future — and it comes with a $12.75 million punch. Forward Collin Graf is officially staying put, signing a three-year deal on Friday that locks in one of the biggest breakout stories in the NHL.

Graf, 23, was an absolute menace last season, posting 21 goals and 25 assists in 81 games with a plus-6 rating. That's not just improvement. That's a full-on takeover, and the Sharks are rewarding him accordingly.

From Undrafted to Unstoppable

Let's rewind. Graf walked into the league as an undrafted free agent out of Quinnipiac University late in the 2023-24 season. He played just seven games that year and 31 the next. But by last season, he wasn't just in the lineup — he was a go-to two-way weapon, killing penalties and playing everywhere on the ice.

General manager Mike Grier didn't hold back when talking about Graf's value: "Collin was a big part of our team's improvement this past season, being an effective penalty killer for us and his versatility in the lineup was extremely valuable. His hard-working attitude and work ethic is a big reason why his game took another stride last year, and he continues to be an important person in our young group of players. We're happy we are able to keep him a Shark for the next several seasons."

Career-wise, Graf now has 26 goals and 33 assists in 121 NHL games. The numbers are only going to climb. At 23, he's just entering his prime — and San Jose just made sure he'll be doing it in teal.
