Sorba Thomas just flipped his car near Hull's training ground — and walked away without a scratch. The Premier League club confirmed the Wales international was the driver in a Friday morning accident near the Cottingham training base, but he is 'totally unscathed' and will travel with the squad to take on Chelsea on Saturday.

Social media pics showed a Land Rover Defender with a personalised registration lying upside down on a narrow residential street. Eyewitnesses said the chaos kicked off around 9 a.m., with fire engines and police on the scene.

Hull boss Sergej Jakirovic was also spotted at the scene, per social media images. The club moved quickly to calm fans: Thomas sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed.

From Deadline Day to Near Disaster

Thomas joined Hull on deadline day from Stoke and made his debut in last week's draw with Aston Villa. Jakirovic had already been hyping the winger's fit before Thursday's press duties, saying he 'suits' the club.

'I don't have any doubt about Sorba because he made a difference in the Championship [at Stoke],' Jakirovic said. 'He is a left winger and we can use him inside like a left [sided] No. 10. He knows football. He is very good in delivery and his end product is good. Also, he has very good set-pieces. He is sharp and has speed. Also, in defence, he is very responsible. I think he suits us a lot. Like always, I hope he can help us.'
