Premier League Kit Rankings 2026-27: From 'Can't Help Falling in Love' to a Nauseating Nightmare

With the World Cup dust settled and the Premier League kicking off Aug. 21, it's time for the annual kit rankings. Some clubs nailed it. Others... let's just say they need to apologize to their fans.

46. Newcastle United Home (Adidas)

This thing comes with a motion-sickness warning. Doppler stripes and giant blue sleeves? The Toon messed up the simplest formula in football.

45. Nottingham Forest Home (Adidas)

Inspired by River Trent mist? More like inspired by a garage floor mop. The crumpled, grimy look is a hard pass.

44. Fulham Home (Adidas)

Nothing remotely new. It's a template with a tiny nod to the Thames. Yawn.

43. Everton Home (Castore)

Royal blue with a bit of amber trim. That's it. The Docklands inspiration got lost somewhere.

42. Brighton Away (Nike)

A color flip of the home shirt. Zero imagination. Missed opportunity.

41. Newcastle Third (Adidas)

First-ever lilac kit, but the design is so basic it hurts. At least it's not the home kit.

40. Chelsea Home (Nike)

Minimalist and clunky all at once. The engraved lion and yellow trim make it feel disjointed. Not a classic.

39. Tottenham Home (Nike)

Seen one Spurs home kit, seen 'em all. The blandest series in the league continues. The diagonal hash marks can't save it.

38. Brighton Third (Nike)

Teal and turquoise ode to the pier. Nice colors, but there's barely any design to talk about.

37. Chelsea Away (Nike)

Another mediocre Blues kit. The laurel motif is a small touch, but it's still underwhelming.

36. Fulham Third (Adidas)

Eye-catching for the wrong reasons. Pale blue with killer pink trim that's tough to stare at. Bold, but blinding.

35. Ipswich Away (Umbro)

Reworks the classic 90s cream kit with pinstripes. Sleeker, but far from thrilling.

34. Man City Home (Puma)

Post-Pep era starts with a gradient that fades from sky blue to white. It's a nice concept, but it looks like the colors ran in the wash.

33. Brighton Home (Nike)

Doffing the cap to the 1983 FA Cup side. The pinstripes and white trim are a decent retro nod.

32. Bournemouth Away (Hummel)

A lavender number inspired by the 90s zig-zag kit. It could pass as a one-day cricket jersey, but we're here for it.

31. Everton Away (Castore)

White with navy and yellow pinstripes, based on some 1950s design. Nice enough, but forgettable.

30. Crystal Palace Away (Macron)

Black with red and blue asymmetrical trim and a feather pattern. Routine but effective.

29. Hull Away (Oxen)

A throwback to the 1988-90 kit with a central crest and big shoulder yokes. Good to have the Tigers back.

28. Brentford Away (Joma)

Inspired by 'Kingsman' movies. Sharp pinstripes, but it's just a smart navy kit at the end of the day.

27. Aston Villa Third (Adidas)

A tribute to the Holte End with a scroll pattern from the mosaic facade. Subtle history lesson, nice execution.

26. Coventry Away (Hummel)

Oatmeal with orange and navy trim, plus a jacquard pattern. A solid return to the Premier League.

25. Leeds Home (Adidas)

Honoring King Charles I's 1626 charter? Sure. The yellow and blue pinstripes on white are a bold choice.

24. Arsenal Home (Adidas)

Rush-released so they could win a Champions League final in it. Subtle Emirates references are so subtle we can't see them.

23. Newcastle Away (Adidas)

Blue-grey with a Tetris-like pattern inspired by Newcastle Castle. Vintage crest earns bonus points.

22. Ipswich Home (Umbro)

Royal blue with diamond pattern inspired by floodlight frameworks. Ed Sheeran is gone from the front, but still on the sleeve. Decent.

21. Nottingham Forest Away (Adidas)

Green with red trim and interwoven leaves. A huge upgrade from the home kit that looks like it survived a tractor accident.

20. Man United Home (Adidas)

Clean and crisp, marking 50 years since the 1977 FA Cup final. The polo collar is a nice retro touch.

19. Brentford Home (Joma)

Rolling a kit over for two seasons? Admirable. Red and white stripes with honey yellow trim. Pleasant.

18. Bournemouth Third (Hummel)

So close. Cream, black and gold with a big pink button sponsor that ruins the whole vibe.

17. Fulham Away (Adidas)

Red and black checkerboard with a cool FFC monogram. A throwback to 96-97 that actually works.

16. Arsenal Third (Adidas)

Yellow with retro cannon and lightning motif. Looks familiar to the 21-22 away kit, but it's still pretty.

15. Man City Away (Puma)

An ode to the Manchester bee. Black and yellow with a hive pattern. Compared to some their recent kits, this is reserved.

14. Bournemouth Home (Hummel)

Maiden European campaign kit! Retro styled and razor sharp, but that big red sponsor button kills the vibe. So close.

13. Sunderland Home (Hummel)

Maximum retro, celebrating the 1937 FA Cup team. Button-up collar, shield crest, and the starting XI printed inside the neck. Excellent.

12. Liverpool Away (Adidas)

Reviving the 1985-88 white and red jersey. Oversized V-neck, trefoil, heritage crest, and LFC ticket print. Absolute classic.

11. Arsenal Away (Adidas)

The bruised banana story continues, but now with blue zig-zags. It's nice, but we've seen this song and dance before.

10. Crystal Palace Home (Macron)

White with a red and blue diagonal sash, nodding to the 70s and 80s. The retro round crest is a chef's kiss.

9. Tottenham Away (Nike)

Navy base with purple, pink, and orange jagged bands. Big improvement over the home kit, but not the cosmic 21-22 one.

8. Coventry Home (Hummel)

Daring blue and white stripes, abandoning sky blue. A tribute to the 86-87 FA Cup kit. Sure to split fans, but we rate it.

7. Hull Home (Oxen)

Ditching tiger print for a vintage 1978-79 vibe. Why that season? Who cares. The modern take is spiffing.

6. Leeds Away (Adidas)

Deep yellow with an intricate Yorkshire rose pattern. The trefoil and retro crest seal it. This will sell like hotcakes.

5. Man United Away (Adidas)

Back to that classic late-80s blue. Clean and contemporary with retro panache, and the trefoil does a lot of heavy lifting.

4. Tottenham Third (Nike)

Mid-90s Klinsmann era purple. Chic, with stripes and crackle effects plus a button-up collar. Lovely.

3. Liverpool Home (Adidas)

The Candy kit rework from 89-91. Triangular flecks still look fire. Instant nostalgia is a winner.

2. Aston Villa Home (Adidas)

Claret and blue in perfect harmony. Elegant, timeless, and that faux collar placket is a first. Absolute beauty.

1. Sunderland Away (Hummel)

Elvis Presley tribute! Pink and black, inspired by his 1954 Louisiana Hayride suit. It's an absolute peach, mama. Hail to the King.
