From DIII captain to NBA front office

Stevens isn't your typical GM candidate. He starred at Division III Clark University, captained the team twice and graduated in 2021. While still in school, he was grinding with a player agency and a team in Israel — then did something straight out of a movie: he built 40-page scouting reports and shipped them to NBA teams, chasing a dream most wouldn't even attempt.

The Spurs answered. They hired him after graduation, and by 2025 he was their director of grassroots scouting, earning a reputation as one of the sharpest young minds in the organization.
