UNITED & SPURS IN A SCRAP FOR BRUGGE'S HOTSHOT TRESOLDI
Trending: Tresoldi turns heads
Manchester United and Tottenham are locked on the same trail — and the target is Club Brugge's 22-year-old marksman Nicolo Tresoldi. According to TEAMtalk, both Premier League outfits had scouts on hand for the Champions League clash against Aston Villa, where Tresoldi buried a penalty before Brugge fell 3-2. With 23 goals last season, the striker is making serious noise. And with Joshua Zirkzee's Old Trafford future in doubt and Richarlison's Spurs situation anything but settled, Tresoldi could be caught in an absolute Premier League tug-of-war.
Zubimendi's Arsenal frustration
Martín Zubimendi might be ready to rock the boat in January if he can't crack Mikel Arteta's midfield rotation. TEAMtalk says the summer signing is eager to win back a starting role, but Declan Rice and Myles Lewis-Skelly are running things right now. Chelsea and Real Madrid remain interested if the 27-year-old Spaniard becomes available — and this one could get messy.
Martial gets a LaLiga lifeline
Free-agent striker Anthony Martial has an offer on the table from newly-promoted Málaga, per Matteo Moretto. The 30-year-old is fresh off a stint at Monterrey, where he notched one goal and three assists in 20 appearances. Everton's links to Martial and Mauro Icardi have been played down, with the Toffees eyeing a long-term January fix instead.
City circle Baena; Chelsea lock in Estêvão
Manchester City have Atlético Madrid creator Álex Baena on their shortlist, according to Football Insider. Baena's contract runs through 2030 and Atleti aren't planning an exit, so City would need to work some serious magic. Across London, Chelsea are set to reward Estêvão with a new and improved deal despite his slow start under Xabi Alonso. The Telegraph says the 19-year-old is viewed as 'untouchable' — and after eight goals and four assists last campaign, it's not hard to see why.
More transfer chatter
Real Madrid are monitoring Declan Rice's contract situation at Arsenal, with his deal set to expire in 2028. Arsenal and Manchester City are both keeping tabs on PSG defender Willian Pacho. Kaoru Mitoma is stalling on Brighton contract talks with one year left — a January exit can't be ruled out. Club América are looking into a free-agent move for David Alaba. Liverpool and Real Madrid remain keen on Bayern Munich's Michael Olise. Liverpool also considered a summer move for Atalanta right-back Marco Palestra before ultimately passing. Manchester United are ready to offer Lisandro Martinez a new long-term contract if he can stay injury-free this season.
