Bills Mafia, buckle up. Training camp is officially a rollercoaster, and Buffalo is not here for smooth rides. Between the brawls, the injuries, the new turf palace, and Josh Allen airing it out to his shiny new toy, there's zero shortage of drama in Orchard Park and Pittsford.

Camp opened at St. John Fisher University with rain, pads, and a head coach who's not afraid to flip the script. Joe Brady is running a tighter, more intentional operation — and the players are buying in. But let's get to the good stuff.

Josh Allen & DJ Moore: Already Unfair

The Bills' biggest offseason splash is already looking like a cheat code. Moore has been hauling in highlight-reel catches from Allen from day one — a diving sideline grab, a deep touchdown, and the play of camp so far: Allen launched a bomb with three defenders draped all over Moore, and somehow the receiver stretched out mid-stride and plucked it out of the air like it was nothing.

Wideout Khalil Shakir called their connection so beautiful it feels “fake.” Allen says the key was simply letting it rip instead of trying to be perfect. The result? A QB-WR duo that's about to terrorize the AFC East.

Welcome to the New Highmark: Fireworks Included

The Bills finally stepped foot in their $2.1 billion new home, and the “Return of the Blue and Red” practice did not disappoint. Fireworks literally exploded, and so did Allen when he found Shakir for a two-minute drill touchdown, sliding into the end zone to join the party.

Dawson Knox summed it up: “It's the coolest place I've ever played football in.” The stadium is real, and it's spectacular.

Injuries Are Piling Up — But the Defense Is Brawling Back

Not everything is sunshine and fireworks. Safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson has been dealing with a calf strain and then went down with a leg injury that required a cart — a scary sight for a defense already missing Cole Bishop and Maxwell Hairston at times. Connor McGovern, Ty Johnson, and several others have also been banged up. The injury bug is real in Buffalo.

But the defense is bringing the energy. Full pads meant fighting — literally. Rookie linebacker Kaleb Elarms-Orr caught a tight end late, and the offense didn't appreciate it. Ol' reliable Alec Anderson was right in the middle of the chaos, delivering the quote of camp: “I didn't enjoy hitting our guy after the whistle, but I enjoyed punching him in the face a couple times and choking him out.”

Bradley Chubb, the new edge-rush vet, loves it: “You'd rather say chill than sic 'em. When you've got a team full of sic 'ems, that's a good thing.” And let's be honest — after last year, this defense needs some snarl.

Position Battles & Breakout Watch

The left guard spot is a dogfight between Austin Corbett and Anderson. Lloyd Cushenberry is holding it down at center while McGovern heals. And keep an eye on undrafted rookie corner Kani Walker — he keeps showing up. Rookie safety Jalon Kilgore is also making plays, and tight end Keleki Latu is turning heads.

Kicker Tyler Bass made his return after missing all of 2025 with a sports hernia, and he went 5-of-7, with his misses coming from 45-plus. The punting job is Tommy Doman's to lose.

Leonhard's defense is installing a scheme with real purpose, and with Terrel Bernard and Dorian Williams finally ramping up, this unit has serious potential.

Camp wraps up soon and preseason starts in a flash. If these first few weeks are any indication, Buffalo is hungry, physical, and ready to make some noise. Just keep the popcorn — and the boxing gloves — nearby.
