The first full week of NFL preseason was an absolute fantasy earthquake. One minute, managers were mapping out their Round 1 targets. The next, Adam Schefter drops suspension smoke, and Arizona announces one of the 2026 class's brightest rookies is nursing a high-ankle injury. In other words? The board shook.

So when the ESPN Fantasy crew gathered live on Monday's Fantasy Focus podcast for a 10-team, half-PPR mock, the aftershocks were impossible to ignore. Puka Nacua — a player many still viewed as a Round 1 lock — tumbled to No. 8 overall amid potential suspension chatter. And Jeremiyah Love, the No. 3 overall NFL draft pick who flashed before getting hurt, slid all the way to the end of Round 3.

The Fallers

Let's start with Nacua. Field Yates grabbed him at 1.08, which feels like a steal if the suspension doesn't materialize — and a headache if it does. The talent is undeniable. The uncertainty is the problem.

Then there's Love, drafted by Matt Bowen at 3.02. The Cardinals' rookie back showed the explosive juice that made him a top-3 pick, but a high-ankle sprain threatening to wipe out the rest of the preseason scared drafters off.
